Three great reasons to get out in the sun today.

Hi, When the sun comes out the world just seems a better place. With the sun has come the joyful spectacle of orca and porpoises in English Bay, a great Canadian team in the Stanley Cup Final and joy of joys the two biggest idiots in the US beating the hell out of one another. It almost begs one to hand each of them a pick-axe handle of finest Canadian Maple wood and telling them to get on with it. So, as you reach for the popcorn and settle into a delicious spectacle of American idiocy I am here to help you with your health and well being, as ever. It’s such a pleasure there should almost be a special word for it. Something German, maybe. With all this in mind this is a quick reminder that I am working and available should you need anything, though don’t be too surprised if I am out on English Bay for a good proportion of the summer sailing. If you need hypnosis sessions let me know and I will schedule you in. I’d also like to point out two of my favorite activities that people find help their general sense of well being that, here in Vancouver, we are blessed with. The first is She Sails – Sinead’s safe space for women on the water. Sinead is a great sailor and provides a unique sailing experience. You can find her here – https://www.shesailsvancouver.ca/ The second is Jericho Beach Kayak – and particularly their Pride Paddle happening on June 17th at 7 pm. This a great community event and an opportunity to connect and support LGBTQ friends who love English Bay and the amazing outdoor activities we are lucky to have access to. Join us at Jericho Sailing Centre. Your can book your space with Jericho Beach Kayak here – https://jerichobeachkayak.com/community-paddles/pride/ These are fun activities and can be tailored to your needs if you’re new to being on the water. I am also going to throw in one other suggestion. We’ve been through some tough months with talk of tariffs and rolling back some human rights seeping in from the south. Well, when things seem hopeless it’s up to us to be the hope. I find that if we’re able to reach out and help others we bring a little hope to the world. It helps others and will make you feel better, too. If you doubt it, try it and tell me how you get along. One of the best things we can do is to support the plight of children worldwide. God knows, they could use it. I find the best channel for this is through UNICEF. I worked on Operation Lifeline Sudan, in the Sudan war for 2 years and I can vouch for the work the organisation does. It goes largely unnoticed but changes the lives of thousands.
